Description

These Tater Tot Appetizer Cups are crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor! Perfect for game day, parties, or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 48-60 frozen tater tots (16-oz bag)

  • ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • 2 green onions, sliced (green part only)

  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F. Spray a muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray.

  • For mini-sized muffin pan: Place 2-3 tater tots in each muffin cup. For regular-sized muffin pan: Place 4-5 tater tots in each muffin cup.

  • Bake the tater tots for 10 minutes on the bottom rack of the oven, then remove the pan.

  • Spray the bottom of a shot glass with cooking spray and gently press the tater tots to form cups. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 15 minutes, until deep golden brown.

  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese into each cup and bake for an additional 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  • Let cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with sour cream, crumbled bacon, and sliced green onions.

Notes

  • To make ahead, prepare the cups up to step 5 and refrigerate. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes before serving.

  • Customize with your favorite toppings like salsa or guacamole for an extra twist.
