Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef (93/7)

1 yellow onion, finely diced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

3 tablespoons tomato paste

2 cups elbow macaroni (dry, uncooked)

2 cups beef broth

1 cup whole milk

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Optional for a creamier sauce:

1/4 cup sour cream or 4 ounces softened cream cheese
Instructions

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoned salt over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease.

Stir in tomato paste and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

Add dry elbow macaroni, beef broth, and milk. Bring to a simmer and cook for 9-11 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most liquid has evaporated.

Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and fully combined.

For a creamier sauce, stir in sour cream or softened cream cheese at the end of cooking.
