Description

A creamy, cheesy twist on your favorite cheeseburger, all made in one pot. Perfect for busy nights and picky eaters!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef (93/7)

  • 1 yellow onion, finely diced

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt

  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (dry, uncooked)

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Optional for a creamier sauce:

  • 1/4 cup sour cream or 4 ounces softened cream cheese

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoned salt over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease.

  • Stir in tomato paste and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

  • Add dry elbow macaroni, beef broth, and milk. Bring to a simmer and cook for 9-11 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most liquid has evaporated.

  • Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and fully combined.

  • For a creamier sauce, stir in sour cream or softened cream cheese at the end of cooking.

  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to use different cheeses like mozzarella or Monterey Jack for variation.

  • Add vegetables like bell peppers for extra color and crunch.
