Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers

  • 4 cups water

  • 1/2 cup honey or sugar (to taste)

  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

  • Ice, for serving

Instructions

  • Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan over medium heat.

  • Remove from heat and add 1 cup of dried hibiscus flowers. Steep for 15–20 minutes.

  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher.

  • While warm, stir in 1/2 cup of honey (or sugar) until dissolved. Adjust sweetness as needed.

  • Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
