Description

Egg Flight Appetizers are a viral, fun twist on deviled eggs with various delicious toppings.


Ingredients

  • Hard-boiled eggs

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 ½ teaspoons Kewpie mayo

  • 1 teaspoon mustard

  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 2 teaspoons prepared chicken salad

  • Bread-and-butter pickles

  • ¼ of a lettuce leaf

  • 2 cherry tomatoes, sliced

  • 1 slice of cooked bacon

  • 1 small mozzarella wedge

  • 1 large basil leaf

  • Slice of cooked smoked sausage

  • Prepared pancake batter

  • 1 tablespoon shredded cheese

  • Pepper jelly

  • Balsamic glaze


Instructions

  • Gently place eggs in a pot and cover with cool water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

  • Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 3-5 minutes and peel under cool running water.

  • Prepare toppings: cook sausage, bacon, and make mini pancakes.

  • Slice boiled eggs in half and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  • Top 3 eggs with mayo, 2 with mustard, and 1 with Dijon.

  • For the mayo eggs, add chicken salad and pickles. For the mustard eggs, add lettuce, bacon, and tomato. For the Dijon eggs, top with sausage, cheese, and mini pancakes.

  • Top the plain egg with mozzarella, tomato, basil, and balsamic glaze. Drizzle with pepper jelly.

  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
